But it’s BIGGER than that. Those microbial genes are part of our own genetic make-up; they are part of us, not just organisms living on us and in us!
It engenders a whole new way at looking at how disease comes about, how genes work and the importance of inflammation in our defenses and in the process of aging.

In the 1970s and 80s I stood at the threshold of this gateway, with a handful of other doctors around the world (less than a dozen of us, full time). We got results–fabulous recoveries from fire in the belly, miracles even–without fully understanding what we were seeing.
For pioneer spirits and for doctors looking for real healing, that didn’t worry us too much. We knew the methods worked and that sooner or later the science would be figured out.
