Anti-Aging Tip: Chlorella — The “Number 1 Food” for Longevity

Chlorella is often called the No. 1 anti-aging food because it helps keep skin youthful and supports a longer, healthier life.

Chlorella is a single-celled, freshwater algae that contains more chlorophyll per gram than any other plant. It’s packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and other vital nutrients.

One of chlorella’s standout features is its high content of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), which are crucial for cellular repair and regeneration. This nucleic acid content is considered a key part of its rejuvenating power.

Nucleic Acids and Looking Younger

Dr. Benjamin S. Frank, author of The No-Aging Diet and Nucleic Acid Therapy in Aging and Degenerative Disease, found that nucleic acids:

  • Help the body repair its own DNA and RNA

  • Improve nutrient utilization

  • Support detoxification

  • Boost energy

In his work, patients following a nucleic-acid-rich diet (about 1–1.5 grams of nucleic acids per day) reportedly looked and felt 6 to 12 years younger, with fewer lines and wrinkles and healthier, younger-looking skin within about 2 months.

He emphasized sardines, which contain about 1.5% nucleic acids, and observed that patients who ate one to two cans daily not only looked more youthful but also experienced improvements in conditions like heart disease, emphysema, arthritis, memory loss, dimming vision, and depression.

Chlorella goes even further: it has 17 times more RNA than canned sardines, making it a powerful anti-aging food with strong “longevity factors,” according to research by Dr. Minchinori in Japan.

As Dr. Bernard Jensen writes in Chlorella, Jewel of the Far East:

“Used regularly, chlorella would assist in the repair of damaged genetic material in human cells, protecting our health and slowing down the aging process…. When our RNA and DNA are in good repair and are able to function most efficiently, our bodies get rid of toxins and avoid disease. Cells are able to repair themselves and the energy level and vitality of the whole body is raised.”

Chlorella as a Healing “Super Food”

Chlorella is promoted not only as an anti-aging food but also as a super food used to support the body in serious conditions such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, and even AIDS. It’s believed to help:

  • Cancer – Supports faster growth of immune cells and helps white blood cells multiply more rapidly. This can improve tolerance to chemotherapy and radiation and may offer anti-tumor effects.

  • AIDS – Activates T-cells and boosts their reproduction, helping the immune system respond more strongly.

  • Alzheimer’s / Parkinson’s Disease – Assists the body in rebuilding nerve tissues, making it a supportive option for degenerative brain and nerve disorders.

  • Viral Infections – Provides white blood cells with superoxide to help them kill harmful bacteria and viruses.

  • Chemical and Environmental Toxic Exposure – Acts as a detoxifier, assisting the liver in clearing toxins, neutralizing poisons (including environmental chemicals and toxic foods), aiding cell repair, and helping prevent illness and disease.

The phycocyanin in chlorella also encourages the body to produce more stem cells, which boosts immunity and can help destroy bacteria and viruses.

Chlorella Growth Factor and Fast Cellular Repair

A unique feature of chlorella is its growth factor, which allows it to quadruple itself every 20 hours—faster than any other food crop on earth. This rapid growth is one of the reasons it’s considered so effective at supporting fast tissue and cell repair.

By multiplying beneficial bacteria in the bowel, chlorella also helps the body eliminate free radicals and other harmful substances more efficiently.

Suggested Dosage

Many health practitioners recommend starting with about 3 grams of chlorella per day until the body adapts to its strong effects. For more serious concerns, some people take up to 7 grams a day to maximize benefits.
